The Golden Wheel, which belongs to the Instrument Collection, is the world's first watch to combine a "wandering hours" display - a complication with roots in the mid-17th century - and a True Beat Seconds. The Constant Force Tourbillon, which joins the Royal Collection, brings together a patented constant-force mechanism with a 60-second tourbillon, twin barrels and True Beat Seconds.

With the elaboration of historical inspiration for our new collections, the exhibition shares the stories of the world's first tourbillon be mounted on John Arnold's chronometer, true beat seconds be inspired by John Arnold & his son's marine chronometer and wandering hours roots in the mid-17th century's pocket watches. These valuable background contributed to the development of Arnold & Son and upholds the British watchmaking heritage for more than 250 years.
